About our Organization: Hollywood Senior Center, Inc. (HSC) is a private nonprofit organization that was founded in 1973 as a Multipurpose Senior Center, with the Older Americans Act serving as the guideline for the establishment of our mission and values. HSC’s mission is to promote, enhance and sustain the independence, safety, health and quality of life of older adults living in the community. We view older adults as individuals with ambition, capabilities and creative capacities, who are capable of continued growth and development. 

Time commitment: Medium-Large project, 121-200 hours. Hours are flexible around your schedule.

Project Description: Hollywood Senior Center needs skilled and technical support to better measure existing program outcomes to strengthen our case for support in the community. Measuring program outcomes will help us measure the effectiveness of our programs, identify effective practices, areas that need improvement and provide value to stakeholders. The Hollywood Senior Center is looking to better identify the outcomes of our programs and develop performance measures for current and new programs. We are looking to create and implement a data collection plan for the organization using existing data and identifying data gaps. Next we seek to better analyze the data and identify strategies to communicate the results to multiple audiences in clear and dynamic ways.

Education/Experience: Competency in modeling, synthesizing and presenting quantitative analysis and data in a variety of formats.

Resources: The Executive Director is the Project Champion and Project Manager.  The SPW placement will have access to staff, databases and current data.  HSC will provide necessary staff space and a modest stipend for a project well done.

Work Environment/Location: Location is flexible. Work from your home or at the Hollywood Senior Center location (1820 NE 40th).
